About us :
The Leiden Support Desk for Migrants is a multicultural, humanitarian, social organization that answers questions in the areas of aliens legislation, material statutory status, humanitarian practical legal social issues and social and medical support. We focus on newcomers, refugees, regular migrants (family members, labor migrants, family migrants or study migrants) and undocumented asylum seekers.
The Leiden Support Desk for Migrants is a non-profit institution, offers free service and has special attention for Arab-language status holders or migrants.
The Leiden Support Desk for Migrants Foundation works in two areas.
• On the one hand, we work on day-to-day legal, social and humanitarian services, which usually involve short-term, one-off contacts and solving practical and business problems.
• On the other hand, we work on legal and social assistance issues that have to do with process-based contacts.
We help by:
• Gathering information and acting as a key point of advice and consultation for status holders and migrants. For example: Questions regarding the asylum procedure, debt counseling and the various social issues.
• Organizing information evenings on certain legal issues, Legal, social counseling, Information and translation services.

Do you have certain talents and expertise that you would like to use for the new Leids support desk for migrants?
We need thinkers and doers to achieve an idealistic, human, and new view for migrant issues.
• We expect:

3- You are motivated to contribute to the Leiden Support Desk for Migrants.

6- Possibility to organize lectures, lectures, workshops together with other volunteers.
7- Any social, legal knowledge or work experience.
8- powerful Dutch & English writing skills, (whether someone has a good command of Arabic, or Persian, or Turkish and Dutch)

Job description:
Powerfully attracting suitable donors and active volunteers is of vital importance. A good PR and communication approach are necessary. Through PR and Communication you ensure that support is maintained to reach our goals and that we approach the public, those involved, donors, charity organizations and volunteers.

We expect :
• You have an affinity with this highly vulnerable target group of migrants and refugees.
• fund-raising and relationship management
• Building and maintaining a relevant media network and website.
• Setting up marketing campaigns for donors and volunteers.
• You are enthusiastic and have persuasiveness.
• Excellent knowledge, expression skill in Dutch and English, or/and Arabic, Persian or Turkish translation abilities.
• you know how to bring a story rig ht, also you have opportunities to conduct a social cultural research.
